Absolutely Amazing
This was my first time with Aprile and I have 4 Cavaliers. She kept me informed of how they were going and it was so lovely to see them so happy. Absolutely beautiful boarding kennels and wonderful lady running them. Thank you so much

Molly's favourite holiday destination
Molly the chihuahua cross Pomeranian loves to holiday at Barkers Boutique when we are away for family travels. Aprile is always attentive to the guests who stay at Barkers and Molly bonded with Aprile very quickly.

Toby's Hpliday
I was very impressed with the facilities and attention to detail on arrival. Toby had fun playing with 2 other dogs in the play yards which had grass, paddle pool and shade areas. He came home very happy, clean and content with no signs of anxiety or problems after a two night stay. He is 1 year old. Aprile sent me an sms with lovely photos and a good report during his stay. I highly recommend this facility and will be booking him in again in the future.

Great care with our 2 dogs
Aprile looked after our 2 rescue dogs for the first time and kept us informed of their progress by sending us photos and messages. This was greatly appreciated.

The dogs get a holiday too
Aprile has a great place for our fury family members to stay when we leave town. Our three staffies have stayed there a couple of times and Barkers Boutique is now our ‘go to’ when we go a family holidays. Aprile’s facilities are fantastic and you can tell she treats the dogs with great care. With Aprile’s passion for the animals she does a wonderful job at looking after them and therefore making our trips totally stress free. We encourage everyone to book with Barkers Retreat. You, and your fury family members, won’t regret it.

Very professional
Aprile's so professional, plus warm and really gets to know your pet and their likes/dislikes. We're coming onto four or five years since we started placing Shliva, our Jack Russell, in her care and it's such a great service, we sometimes actually go out of our way to drop Shliva off there. Really happy with the service.

Dog + cat boarding
I have boarded my small dog and two cats with Aprile on three separate occasions now, and she has gone above and beyond to look after them every single time. They'll be returning for a visit this weekend and (as always!) I'm sure they'll be reluctant to come home.

Very happy cat!
Barkers Boutique Holiday Kennels & Cattery were recommended to us by friends. We were immediately impressed by how well organised and clean the facility was, and with opportunity for our cat to play outside each day in a wonderful, and completely enclosed garden. When we returned 3 weeks later our cat was happy and contented. Aprile, the owner, obviously cares for each animal as if they were her own. We now use Barkers every time we need our cat boarded. We would highly recommend this business.

Return visit by Violet the farm cat
Violet stays at Barkers every time we holiday. Great service offered. Excellent individual cat enclosures for each cat or family of cats. Indoor and individual outdoor area. All pets are treated as family members, with great respect and warmth. Aprile operates a fantastic service.

Cat boarding
We could not be happier with the care our cat Buddy received . We left him for 12 days and when we returned he was happy and contented . He had a lovely place to stay with attention to detail and a lovely sunny yard to play in during the day . April was lovely with him even taking him into her house for special cuddles .. highly recommend !! We will be back .

Ghost Stay
This kennel is very professionally run and very good value for money. The owner, Aprile, is pleasant and very ameniable to your needs (eg I cant find the cat can I come later etc).Our cat ,"Ghost" seems to quite enjoy the experience and seems to be well looked after!

Home away from home
It was our almost 15 year old cats first stay with Aprile. He settled in really quickly and we are sure he never missed us being around because of the care and attention Aprile gave him. We were able to go away and feel that he was safe and wellcared for. The facilities are amazing and very reasonable. Thank you Aprile.

George's Stay
This was George's second stay with Aprile and I'm sure that he protested the whole car ride home because he didn't want to leave! We could happily enjoy our holiday knowing the George was well looked after and very content. We will be back!
